Takdah Orchid Center:- Amongst the host of attractions and activities, Takdah Orchid Center stands as an ideal reason to fall in love with the place. Normally accessible to the visitors from the months of February and April, Takdah Orchid Center is an exclusive sanctuary to a rarest and a wide variety of orchids. This remarkable Orchid Centre sprawls over an area with historical importance.
Dawaipani:- The village of Dawaipani is a small village at an extremely remote corner of the hills. In fact the road from Dawaipani does not go any further and ends in the village itself. The main attraction of the village and its Homestay is the grand mountain view you can get from here. Majestic snow peaks of Kanchenjunga forms the backdrop of the queen of hills Darjeeling here. On a clear day the view is truly amazing. The area is heavily forested with occasional tea garden here and there.
The name “Dawaipani” literally mean “Water that heals”. The name is derived from mineral spring and hot waters which is said to heal many illnesses. However in the village itself there is no such mineral springs as of now. There are some mineral springs further down the hill and inside the deep forests that can be reached on foot.
Tinchuley:- The word Tinchuley stands for three chullas (chulla means oven), and this is represented by three prominent hill tops that resembels the three chullas. It is an upcoming tourist destination of the region. Tinchuley is a remote hamlet located close to Darjeeling which can be reached through a drive of 32 kilometers. It is at a distance of 80 kilometers from Siliguri, 35 kilometers from Kalimpong and 88 kilometers from Gangtok. The inhabitants of this quiet settlement took an initiative for establishing their locality as a model organic village. With the help of organizations such as the WWF, the village has developed Village Home Stays. The villagers also showed keen interest in modern farming and with the help of WWF they developed floriculture, vermiculture, organic projects.
Lamahatta:- Surrounded by greenery and rivers amidst picturesque terraced farmland, Lamahatta is a small mountain village that now boasts of an upcoming eco tourism destination. Located at an altitude of 1700 meter above sea level and around 23km from Darjeeling, this tourist spot is gaining momentum by leaps and bounds. Ghoom Monastery - Old Ghoom Monastery is the popular name of Yiga Choeling.The monastery belongs to the Gelukpa or the Yellow Hat sect and is known for its 15 feet- high statue of the Maitreya Buddha
Rock Garden - The Rock Garden at Chunnu Summer Falls and Ganga Maya Park are recently added tourist attractions in the hilly town of Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal, India. It is a showpiece meant to lure people to Darjeeling after political agitations disrupted tourism in the 1980s.
Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park - Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is a 67.56-acre zoo in the town of Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal. The zoo was opened in 1958, and an average elevation of 7,000 feet, is the largest high altitude zoo in India.

After breakfast we will proceed to Sillery Gaon, Nestled on the lap of Himalayan Nature amidst the pine forest of Damsang at an altitude of 6000ft is a picturesque village called Silery Gaon which is fondly considered as the new Darjeeling. The serene ambiance and the pictorial view which Silery Gaon offer made the people daub it with the title of New Darjeeling. The name Silery Gaon represents a plant named called Sillery that grows there in abundant. The sight of the silver shimmering Kanchenjunga, which will leave every traveler in awe is few of the factor which has lured travelers toward Silery Gaon.
Enroute visit some places like:
Ramitey View Point : Ramitey View Point is just 3 km away from Sillery Gaon and can be accessed either by vehicle or trekking. Ramitey View Point offers the breathtaking view of Mt. Khanchendzonga and its neighbouring snow clad peaks along with the longest view point of river Teesta through the valleys with its 14 bends and the confluence of river Teesta and Reshi – a rare sight indeed. On a clear day the entire region from Teesta Bazar to Majhitar in Sikkim is cleary visible from Ramitey View Point.
Damsang Fort : An one hour trek from Sillery Gaon covering around 4 km leads the road to the nearly ruined Damsang fort. This fort which had been built in 1690 by Lepcha Kingdom was the nerve centre of ethnic violence between Lepchas and Bhutias. The another reason to built the fort was to stop aggression by East India Company. This fort is only 1 km away from Pedong and road goes through pine forest offers magnificent view of surrounding hills and valleys.
It’s an ideal place for bird watching. A little upward road from Damsang fort goes to the Hanuman Top where a sculpture of Lord Hanuman is placed. This Hanuman Top offers the excellent bird’s view of Kalimpong town and adjoining areas.
Silent Valley : Silent Valley is another interesting place to visit in Sillery Gaon. A vast tract of green pasture is surrounded by tall pine trees and only sound is chirping of birds resembles Switzerland. A descend from the main road, the sudden appearance of the green field makes visitor surprise . During monsoon Silence valley becomes a small pond. As per the old local residents it was originally a lake long before.
