Tour Overview

Day 1 Pick up from Guwahati Airport/Rly Station and transfer to hotel: -

Namaste!!! You will be greeted by our representative who will be waiting for your warm welcome at Guwahati Airport or Station. He will further arrange transfer to your respective hotel in the heart of the city. After reaching check into your hotel and relax.

Guwahati: The bustling metropolis of Guwahati is a gateway to the beautiful region of Northeast India. Located in Assam, it is the largest city in the region and one of the fastest growing cities in India. It is situated between the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River and the lush foothills of Shillong plateau, which serve as an amazing backdrop. The city is famous for the Kamakhya Temple, also known as Kamrup-Kamakhya. It is the primary deity of the 51 Shaktipeeths of Sati (the wife of Lord Shiva) spread across India, Bangladesh & Pakistan. It is situated at top of the holy Nilachal Hill from where one can have a bird’s eye view of the city.

After lunch we will proceed to fancy bazar for boarding a river cruise and enjoy a magnificent sunset over the majestic Brahmaputra River. The cruise will sail on the mighty Brahmaputra around Guwahati, so all you need to do is sit back, relax, enjoy a drink (at your own expense)- and some nibbles and admire the view. Watch the sun going down over the stunning landscape and then the twinkling of stars in the evening sky. Then return to Guwahati city with plenty of time to enjoy your evening, with this relaxing and unforgettable sunset cruise experience. Rest of the evening will be at leisure. You can do your bit of shopping from Fancy Bazaar, the main shopping area of Guwahati. Then return back to your hotel, enjoy your dinner and stay overnight in your hotel at Guwahati.

Day 2 Guwahati to Shillong 100 Kms/ 2.5 to 3 Hrs Appro.& Shillong Sightseeing: -

After an early breakfast, check-out from your Guwahati hotel and then proceed towards Shillong which is also known as the ‘Scotland of East’. It takes almost 3 hours to reach.

Shillong, is the capital city of the northeast Indian state of Meghalaya. It is a beautiful hill station, stationed approx. 1525MTR/ 5000FT above sea level. The town is encircled by pine forests and it enjoys light drizzles to moderate showers keeping the climate cool throughout the year.

Enroute we will visit the majestic Barapani (Umiam Lake) wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-Pines and surrounded by sylvan hills and blue skies.

Upon reaching Shillong, check into your hotel and relax. Then we will visit some of the famous sightseeing places of Shillong-

Ward’s Lake: -Also known as Pollock’s Lake, this artificial water body is encircled by an extensive lush garden and lies in the middle of the city. Take a walk around this horse-shoe shaped lake on the cobble-stone path or simply admire the colourful floral beds in the garden.Visitors can also enjoy boating here on the placid waters of the Lake.

Botanical Garden: - Placed alongside the Ward Lake, amidst the virgin forest of Mawphlang, India Orchidarium and Botanical Garden is one of the most famous attractions in Shillong. This Botanical garden houses an amazing collection of rare orchids and plantations. A visit to view these native exotic plants would be a delight, if you are a nature enthusiast. 

Lady Henry Park: - It is named after the first lady of the state and wife of the Governor of Assam, Lady Hydari. The first thing that catches your eye when you set foot in this park is that it is built in the form of a Japanese style garden. The vibes get stronger when you catch a glimpse of the round-shaped hedges, willow trees with leaves touching the ground as well as the many scattered small ponds.

Don Bosco Museum: - Hailed as Asia's largest Museum of Indigenous Cultures, the Don Bosco Museum is the house of the beautiful culture and tradition of North East India.  With its seven storeys, it rises into the skyline of Shillong and flaunts 16 laid out galleries that showcase artefacts, paintings, figures significant to the North-eastern culture. Not only do these provide a feast for the eyes of the visitors, but also give an insight into the lifestyle of the North-Eastern people.

Cathedral Church: - Also known as Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, it  was made a shrine in the year 1980. This church was constructed atop an emerald-coloured hill and has stunning stained-glass installations and tall arches. The grave of the First Archbishop of the city, Hubert D'Rosario, is located near the church’s altar. Inside the church, a number of artworks displaying chapters and scenes from Holy Scriptures and the life stories of several Saints, can be seen.If the day is clear, from the Church’s site, one can treat their eyes to the views of Brahmaputra River and snow-clad Himalayan peaks.

Golf Course: - Shillong Golf Course, also known as  'Gleneagle of the East' situated in the East Khasi Hills district in Meghalaya, prides in being one of the oldest, largest and finest natural golf circuits across the world. In the year 1898, it was established as a 9-hole golf course at an altitude of 5200 feet and was converted into 18 Holes in 1924.It is made of an indigenous species of local grass which give a solid effect on the soil thus making it challenging for the golfers.

Then we will return back to our hotel and relax. Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight in your hotel at Shillong.

Day 3 Shillong to Cherrapunjee- a Day Excursion via Elephant falls and Shillong peak (60kms/2-3hrs):-

After an early breakfast check out from hotel and we will proceed to Cherrapunjee. On the way we will visit -

Shillong Peak:  The Shillong peak stands massively 1965 mtr above the sea level. It is one of the highest points in the state which offers a breathtaking bird’s eye view of the city.

Elephant Falls: Named after an Elephant like stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North East, situated next to Shillong. It is a tourists' paradise with three layers of the falls accessible to the layman from different vantage points. It is a superb place for spending some time in the midst of nature while capturing the incredible moments for your keepsake.

Elephant Falls: Named after an Elephant like stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North East, situated next to Shillong. It is a tourists' paradise with three layers of the falls accessible to the layman from different vantage points. It is a superb place for spending some time in the midst of nature while capturing the incredible moments for your keepsake.

Then we will visit the following places in Cherrapunjee before entering your hotel-

Nohkalikai Falls: Nohkalikai Falls is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Its height is 1115 feet (340 metres).Nohkalikai Falls are fed by the rainwater collected on the summit of a comparatively small plateau and decrease in power during the dry season in December - February. Below the falls there has formed a plunge pool with unusual green coloured water.

Mawsmai Cave: You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai, Mawsmai cave is one of the most popular attractions in Cherrapunji. Mawsmai cave boasts of wide & amazing entry with the dark and magical secrecy inside.

Living Root Bridge: The 30 meters long bridge stands 2400 feet high and is the longest known Living Root Bridge, which also means that to reach the bridge one has to make a steep descent of 2400 feet. Holding the proud distinction of being addressed as one of the most picturesque and beautiful places on earth. The Living Root Bridges are made from rubber tree roots also known as Ficus elastica tree.

Cherrapunjee Eco Park: Designed and maintained by the Government of Meghalaya, Eco Park is one of the popular tourist attractions of Cherrapunjee from where the visitors can enjoy lovely view of the ‘Green Canyons’ of Cherrapunji along with the waterfalls that are located nearby. The Eco park also has a crystal-clear water stream in its boundaries visit.

Nohsngithiang Falls (also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls or Mawsmai Falls): The seven sisters fall is a kind of waterfall which symbolizes the seven states in northeast namely Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram and Meghalaya. The fall is separated with seven parts over the cliff of the hills.  The view is spectacular and completely engross one individual with the view. 

The view of the falls amidst the cloud passing by gives an amazing view. The place is a must visit when one is tripping to Meghalaya and to enjoy the vastness of the panoramic stretch.

Then return back to Shillong into your hotel and relax after a tiring day. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at Shillong.

 

Day 4 Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki - A Day Excursion & Back to Shillong: -

After an early breakfast drive to Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Visit the Living Root Bridge. Then you will be taken Dawki, a small village where the main attraction is the Umngot River that marks the natural separation between the Khasi and the Jaintia Hills and you can enjoy the boat ride on the crystal-clear water of the river at your own expense. Then you will also take a glance of Indo Bangladesh Border. Evening we will proceed back to Shillong. After reaching check into your hotel and relax after a tiring day. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 5 Shillong to Kaziranga 250Kms/ 5 - 6 Hrs Appro: -

After an early breakfast, check-out from your Shillong hotel and proceed towards Kaziranga National Park, it will take around 7 hours to reach there. Upon reaching, check-in to your hotel/ resort and relax.

Kaziranga National Park, a World Heritage Site, boasts the highest number of one-horned rhinoceros in the world. The park has one of the highest density of tigers as well but their sightings are very rare because of the presence of tall elephant grass throughout the park that provide excellent camouflage but their presence can be felt everywhere by way of pug marks, kills and territorial markings. The park is home to large breeding populations of elephants, wild water buffalos and swamp deer. The park area is circumscribed by the Brahmaputra River, which forms the northern and eastern boundaries, and the Mora Diphlu, which forms the southern boundary. Other notable rivers within the park are the Diphlu and Mora Dhansiri. Kaziranga has flat expanses of fertile, alluvial soil formed by erosion and silt deposition by the Brahmaputra. The landscape consists of exposed sandbars, riverine flood-formed lakes known as ‘Beels’ and elevated regions known as ‘Chapories’, which provide retreats and shelter for animals during floods. Ganges River dolphins swim in the park’s waters. It’s visited by many rare migratory birds, and grey pelicans roost near Kaziranga village.

Enjoy your afternoon Jungle Safari inside Kaziranga. Spend your evening at leisure within your hotel/ resort premises only. Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight in your hotel/ resort at Kaziranga.

Day 6 Morning & Afternoon Jungle Safari at Kaziranga National Park: -

After an early breakfast, get ready for a thrilling morning Jungle jeep Safari inside central range of Kaziranga at your own cost. The numerous animals and birds of the great grasslands of Kaziranga are sure to leave any nature lover in a delightful mood. See herds of Rhinos, Deer, Otters, Wild Bovid. Catch the elusive tiger in action, or a giant wild elephant chasing away intruders.  Afterwards, come back to your hotel / resort for relax. Post lunch, enjoy the afternoon with another wildlife safari to the western range of the national park at your own cost inside Kaziranga. Spend your evening at leisure within your hotel / resort premises only. Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight in your hotel / resort at Kaziranga.

Day 7 Morning Jungle Safari at Kaziranga & Back to Guwahati 200 Kms/ 4-5 Hrs Approx:-

Wake up at dawn and get ready for another thrilling morning Jungle Safari inside Kaziranga at your own cost. Post safari, come back to your hotel / resort for breakfast and relax. Afterwards, check-out from your Kaziranga hotel / resort and proceed towards Guwahati. Upon reaching, check-in to your hotel and relax. Spend your evening at leisure after a tiring long journey. Then enjoy your dinner and stay overnight in your hotel at Guwahati.

Day 8 Guwahati Airport / Rly Station Drop, Tour End: -

After morning breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport / Rly Station for your onward journey with pleasant memories of the tour and the warmth of our hospitality in your heart.

At the time of booking confirmation 40% of the total booking amount is required.
15 to 30 days Prior to departure 30% of the total booking amount is required.
15 days Prior to departure 30% of the total booking amount is required.
If booking made within 31 days prior to departure, 100% amount is expected at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy: 
If you want to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing.
No cancellation or changes are allowed after departure.

Cancellations are subject to the following charges:
30 Days or more before departure: 25% of the Total Cost.
30-15 Days Before departure: 50% of the Total Cost.
15-7 Days before departure 75% of the Total Cost.
Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of the Total Cost.
